The floating marking of the navigation route has been installed on the Vistula waterway from 510+600 to 515+600 km, i.e. from the Łazienkowski Bridge to the Gdański Bridge in Warsaw.
Therefore the Vistula waterway in Warsaw from the Łazienkowski Bridge to the Gdański Bridge is open as of day 02’nd February 2024.
Due to the ongoing winter season, the floating marking has been reduced to minimum, therefore navigation on the aforementioned waterway is only permitted if local navigational conditions are known and extreme caution is exercised. The navigation signage is not adapted for round-the-clock shipping.

The marking of the Średnicowy Bridge in Warsaw at km 512+100 of the Vistula waterway has been adapted for round-the-clock shipping. Due to the above, Notice to Skippers no. 26/2023 of July 12, 2023 is no longer valid.
Thus, the navigational markings on the Vistula waterway from km 510+600 to 515+600, i.e. on the entire section from the Łazienkowski Bridge to the Gdański Bridge in Warsaw, are adapted for round-the-clock shipping.
For vessels using this section of the waterway between dusk and dawn, a speed limit in relation to the shore is introduced of 8 km/h for upstream traffic and 10 km/h for downstream traffic.
We would like to remind you of the difficulties related to the construction of the pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Vistula River at km 513+500, as described in Notice to Skippers no. 08/2022. Please take exercise extreme caution and follow the signage installed in the area of the construction in question.

In the area from 508+000 to 509+000 km of the Vistula waterway, i.e. between the Siekierkowski bridge and the Łazienkowski bridge in Warsaw, dredging works will be carried out with the use of a dredger from October 25. The expected date of completion of the works is December this year.
Due to the above, people using the Vistula waterway in the area in question are asked to exercise particular caution.

Further temporary suspension of the water flow through the Barrage in Włocławek is planned due to carrying out the repair of the check dam stabilising the lower position of the Barrage. The suspensions will take place from October 23, to November 3, 2023 daily on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Each time the flow is stopped, the water level below the Włocławek Barrage will drop: in the Włocławek area by approx. 1.5 m, and in the Toruń area by approx. 1.0 m. This deterioration in navigational conditions will continue for up to 12 hours after the flow is stopped. Due to the above, persons using the Vistula waterway below the Włocławek Barrage are asked to take into account the significant fluctuations of the water level described above and to exercise particular caution.

The temporary suspension of water flow through the Włocławek barrage, announced in Notice to Skippers no. 47/2023 will take place daily from October 16, to 20, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This renders Notice to Skippers No. 47/2023 invalid, which stated the wrong times of planned flow suspensions.
Each time the flow is stopped, the water level below the Włocławek Barrage will drop: in the Włocławek area by approx. 1.5 m, and in the Toruń area by approx. 1.0 m. This deterioration in navigational conditions will continue for up to 12 hours after the flow is stopped. Due to the above, persons using the Vistula waterway below the Włocławek Barrage are requested to take into account the above-described significant fluctuations in water levels and to exercise particular caution.

Due to the completion of the removal of floating markings for the winter season, as of 9 December 2022, the following sections of the administered waterways are closed:

- Narew River (including Zegrze Reservoir) km 21+600 – 83+500,
- Bug River km 0 – 42+200.
These sections of waterways will be reopened once the expected ice phenomena have receded, which will be announced by a relevant Notice to Skippers.
Note: The closure does not apply to the section of the Vistula waterway in the area of Warsaw between km 510+600 – 515+600, i.e. from the Łazienkowski Bridge to the Gdański Bridge in Warsaw.
