Navigation Announcement No. 43/2021

In connection with the renovation of the sill stabilising the lower position of the Włoclawek Water Barrage, the flow of water through the barrage will be temporarily limited or ceased from 15'th to 30'th December 2021.

As a result, navigational conditions below the Włoclawek Water Barrage will deteriorate: the cessation of flow will lower the water level below the barrage by about 1.5 metres in the Włocławek area and by about 1 metre in the Toruń area. Deterioration of navigational conditions will continue for up to 12 hours after the flow ceases.

We ask all persons navigating the Vistula River Waterway in the region beneath the Włocławek Water Barrage to be particularly cautious. It is recommended to exercise extreme caution.

From 03 December 2021, reduction of navigation signage for the winter season begins on the waterway:

Therefore, navigation on the aforementioned waterways is only permitted if local navigational conditions are known and extreme caution is exercised.

Information on the closure of the waterway for the winter season, once the signage has been completely removed, will be published in a separate Notice to Skippers.

Navigation Announcement No. 38/2021

A frazil ice barrier was installed at km 637 of the Vistula waterway, near Popłacin. Please be advised that a shipping passage is left in the barrier structure. The outer floats of the navigation span of the barrier were marked: the left one in green and the right one in red. Please navigate between the marked floats and do not approach the barrier due to the structural components underwater.

Due to the aforementioned difficulties, we ask you to exercise particular caution while sailing in the area of the 637 km of the Vistula River (Popłacin).

Navigation Announcement No. 30/2021

The floating marking of the navigation route has been installed on the Vistula waterway from 295+200 to 431+900 km, i.e. from the mouth of the Sanna River to the mouth of the Radomka River.

We would like to remind about the weir, located at 425+950 km of the Vistula river near Świerże Górne, layering water for the purpose of the Kozienice Power Plant. Navigation Announcement No. 28/2021

Due to the temporary installation of the floating marking of the navigation route adjusted to night conditions on the Vistula River waterway in Warsaw from the Poniatowski Bridge to the Czerniakowski Port, the above section of the Vistula River waterway is open for night navigation on September 4th 2021 from 20.00 to 22.00 hours. After that time the markings will be removed and navigation will only be allowed from dawn to dusk again.

Navigation Announcement No. 21/2021

On 28-29 July 2021 (weekend), "Wisła Sailing Days", long-distance Regatta for the Cup of the Summer and Club Regatta in Nowe Duninowo (for the Cup of Mayor of Gostynin and Nowy Duninów Commune Head), will be held on the Vistula River. The competition will take place at km 645+000 - 656+000 of the Vistula river, that is from Wola Brwileńska town to Skoki Duże town, on 28 August 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on 29 August 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..

Accordingly, on 28 August (12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and 29 August 2021 (11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) the Vistula River waterway at km 645+000 - 656+000 will be closed during the regatta.

There is a possibility to travel across that section between different rounds of competition upon agreement with the Organiser of the regatta. Persons who will use the Vistula River waterway in that period are asked to exercise extreme caution, as well as follow the instructions of the Organiser and services securing the event.

Navigation Announcement No. 16/2021

On 26-27 June 2021 (weekend), rowing regatta will be held on the Żerań Canal: Warsaw Sprint and Warsaw Long Distance Championships will be held on 26 June 2021, while Warsaw Juniors, Youth and Children Championships will be held on 27 June 2021. The competition will take place on the 1-2 km of the Żerań Canal, i.e. on the section approx. 1 km after the bridge located at ul. Modlińska, from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

In view of the above, on 26 and 27 June 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., the Żerań Canal waterway in the 1-2 km will be closed for the course of the regatta.

There is a possibility to travel across that section between different rounds of competition upon agreement with the Organiser of the regatta. Persons who will use the Żerań Canal waterway in that period are asked to exercise extreme caution, as well as follow the instructions of the Organiser and services securing the event.

We inform that the "XXVI Warszawski Wyścig Ósemek Licealnych" regatta for eights will be held on 10 June 2021 on the section of the Vistula River from Łazienkowski Bridge to Poniatowski Bridge in Warsaw . Therefore, the Vistula River Waterway at 510+600 - 511+900 km will be closed on 10 June 2021 between 11.30 – 12.30 during the regatta.

Safety during the event will be ensured by the Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR) on selected rescue boats.

Teams will race downstream from 9.00 – 16.00 CEST. Thereforethe Vistula waterway at 507+000 - 511+000 km will be closed on 5 June 2021 between 9.00 – 16.00 CEST during the regatta.

Navigation Announcement No. 8/2021

We inform of problems related to inland navigational due to the remains of the construction works in the area of the southern bridge on the Vistula River in Warsaw, km 500 of the navigable route of the Vistula River. The best navigational conditions to pass under the bridge are between the first and second pillars, counting from the left bank of the river, looking towards the direction of the current.

Please execute extreme caution as there are piles, reinforced concrete slabs and other construction elements left in the riverbed. As soon as the above-mentioned remains are removed, an appropriate, updated Notice to Skippers will be issued.
